Hi, I’m Laura Jill, founder of Scrub Club Beaches. You might know me from my former business, PAWnte Vedra Pets. Welcome to my new zen-den. And don’t worry, if you’re looking for pet care with your furry friend’s favorite “Food Lady,” you can still find me on Rover for all of your pet-sitting needs.

 

So… what have Phil and I been up to lately? Scrubbing away the stigma.

Scrub Club Beaches is now proudly offering individualized, appointment-only dog baths, either in the privacy and comfort of your own home or via complimentary pet taxi to a neutral bathing location. You get your morning back, your dog gets the calm and compassionate care they deserve, and everyone gets to #EscapeTheSalon.

 

With the Scrub Club Beaches experience, I literally meet your dog where he is. I meet him at home, securely transport him if needed, and perform a compassionate service at his pace. My best client matches are buddies like my guy Phil (pictured here), who does not cope well with excessive salon noise, constant movement from other pets and stylists, or long crating sessions between appointment segments. My clients are often a bit misunderstood, a bit anxious about the bathing process, or simply looking for a calmer alternative to traditional salons for routine maintenance care.

 

A little about me, for those I haven’t met yet: I’m a former teacher who is proud that she failed… foster failed. I’m a certified dog bather, a longtime professional pet sitter, and yes, still a part-time Spanish professor by day. I’ve been professionally caring for pets since 2013, starting with an independent company in Rhode Island before launching my Florida-based pet care business in 2017. I’m pet CPR certified, fully insured, and I take the safety and comfort of every animal in my care as seriously as I would my own.

 

Most recently, I spent three months working inside a big-box grooming salon, completing hands-on training and bathing hundreds of dogs, from anxious seniors to wiggly puppies. I learned quickly that no two dogs are ever alike, and that one-size-fits-all care doesn’t work for nervous systems, human or canine. That belief is at the heart of Scrub Club.

 

At Scrub Club Beaches, I continue to offer creative, boutique-style services that treat dogs like the family members they are, whether that means wedding-day pampering, a spa-cation while you’re away, or simply helping them feel calm, clean, and seen.
